In his December 1st blog post, Mario Morino highlights a familiar dilemma that many nonprofts face: having passion, but not good information and tools "to determine where they’re headed, chart a logical course, and course-correct when they’re off."
"In short," says Morino, "we need to do more with less. To get there, we need to be much clearer about our aspirations, more intentional in defining our approaches, more rigorous in gauging our progress, more willing to admit mistakes, and more capable of quickly adapting and improving—all with an unrelenting focus and passion for improving lives."
He then examines multiple organizations, including Strive, that have embraced innovative ways to collect and use information.
