Expanding the Experiences that Prepare Students for Success
Purposeful Pathways
Creating pathways that set young people up for what’s next.
The Pathways Impact Fund expands access to purposeful pathways that prepare young people for life after high school. These pathways align with regional economic and workforce needs and culminate in credentials and degrees of value that lead to good-paying jobs.
High school should set young people up for adulthood, not serve as the finish line for their education. A purposeful pathway makes that possible. Purposeful pathways ensure that every student graduates knowing who they are, where they’re going and who can help them get there.
These pathways weave together three core programmatic elements: high-quality advising, accelerated coursework and career-connected learning. Together, these experiences expand students’ access to opportunity while helping them build a sense of belonging, discover their purpose and develop the networks of support and social capital that will help them take their next steps.
A Framework for Purposeful Pathways
A blueprint for purposeful pathways.
A Launchpad for Life: A Vision for Purposeful Pathways for All Students is the Commission on Purposeful Pathways’ research-backed framework for building pathways that go beyond disjointed programs.
