System Administrator, Learning Management System

Catherine Small joined StriveTogether in October 2023. In her role as system administrator of the learning management system, she oversees the configuration, optimization and governance of the Training Hub to help ensure alignment with the organization’s learning strategy and objectives. Catherine works closely with internal teams, providing timely technical support and helping ensure platform enhancements align with evolving organizational needs.

Prior to joining StriveTogether, Catherine taught English as a Second Language at universities in South Korea and the United States for more than 15 years before transitioning to instructional design and, later, learning technology. Having had the opportunity to work across sectors — including academia, corporate and nonprofit environments — she brings a global and interdisciplinary perspective to her work.

Catherine holds bachelor’s degrees in English and German from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, and a master’s in intercultural studies from Dublin City University in Dublin, Ireland. She lives in Alabama with her husband and two children.
