Director, Strategic Network Operations

Mara Timmeney is the director of strategic network operations at StriveTogether. In this role, she manages the implementation of infrastructure that supports a high-quality experience across the Cradle to Career Network. Mara collaborates across teams to design and improve the membership experience, ensuring that members have access to and engage strategically with tools, offerings and relationships to advance along the StriveTogether Theory of Action™ in service of putting more youth on a path to economic mobility. Her work coordinates cross-functional alignment around network member priorities and drives continuous improvement across network supports.

Before joining StriveTogether, Mara coordinated network operations and member experience for national collaboratives including the Next Gen Sector Partnership Community of Practice and the Partnership to Advance Transformation in Higher Ed. She held roles at Catalyst:Ed, the Institute for Networked Communities and College Possible, where she focused on operations, project management, strategic communication and cross-functional collaboration to strengthen both member and student engagement.

Mara holds a dual bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology from Hope College and lives in Chicago, Illinois. In her free time, you can find Mara near the water walking Chicago’s beautiful lakefront trail!
