Glossary Example
This page serves as an example of content with glossary terms highlighted.
The glossary feature automatically highlights matching terms in content on the front end of the site. For example, Systems-based thinking has been added as a topic, and should be highlighted as a glossary term.
Note that glossary terms may only be highlighted within safe elements. A term, such as “Civic Infrastructure” within a link, cannot be highlighted. “Civic Infrastructure” gets highlighted here because it is not within a link.

As an example of synonyms, the topic “Cradle-to-career” has had these synonyms added:
- Cradle2career
- Cradle-2-career
Another example: the term place-based partnerships is highlighted here, but will not be subsequently highlighted when the “highlight first instance only” setting is enabled in the global glossary feature settings. Here it is again: place-based partnerships. And the singular is not highlighted without a synonym: place-based partnership.
