Looking from the Balcony
This workshop is part of a three-part series on adaptive leadership.
Registration for each workshop is individual — participants are encouraged to attend each workshop, but attendance at previous workshops is not required.
Complex challenges require leaders to see beyond the immediate issue and understand the larger system at work. This session helps participants step onto the “balcony” to identify patterns, relationships, competing priorities, and dynamics that may be influencing their work and their ability to create meaningful change.
By completing this course you will:
- Apply the balcony and dance floor moves to a challenge from your own work and describe what each perspective reveals.
- Identify technical and adaptive challenges
- Name competing priorities and underlying dynamics that can influence leaders’ decision making.
