Centering Systems Around Young People in California
In the Mission District of San Francisco, California, StriveTogether Cradle to Career Network member Mission Promise Neighborhood partners with the community to center systems on the needs of kids and families and improve cradle-to-career outcomes.
Now, they’re collaborating with the city of San Francisco to bring this place-based strategy to other Bay-area neighborhoods and advocating at the state level to meet the needs of children in communities across California, while drawing on funding from a federal Promise Neighborhood grant.
This nested civic infrastructure, scaled from neighborhood to national, is making it possible for young people to reach their goals, achieve economic mobility and transform their communities.
