Practicing Adaptive Leadership
Effective leadership in complex systems goes beyond technical expertise; it requires adaptive leadership skills and the courage to take action. This course targets leaders in cradle-to-career systems and place-based partnerships, focusing on developing the necessary skills and reflective practices to navigate uncertainty, resistance, and competing priorities.
Through a structured protocol and peer practice, participants will learn to observe, interpret, and intervene effectively while addressing the inner work of leadership. By the end of the course, they will be equipped to lead with clarity, curiosity, and resilience in challenging situations.
This was not your normal ‘sit and get’ course — leaning into that made the course far more powerful to me.
By completing this course, participants will:
- Define adaptive leadership in the context of collaborative change efforts
- Apply the principles of adaptive leadership through practice
- Develop habits for leading adaptively
